CFP Quarterfinals Today

College Football Playoff quarterfinals kick off today with marquee matchups. At 7:30 p.m. ET, No. 10 Miami faces No. 2 Ohio State in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, airing on ESPN. This follows Miami's narrow 10-3 first-round win over Texas A&M.

Tomorrow, January 1, features No. 6 Ole Miss vs. No. 3 Georgia in the Allstate Sugar Bowl at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, and another quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl. These games advance winners to the January 8-9 semifinals.

The expanded 12-team CFP format has intensified competition, with campus-site first-round games delivering surprises like Ole Miss's 41-10 rout of Tulane.

Today's Non-CFP Bowls (Dec. 31)

The day begins at noon ET with the ReliaQuest Bowl: No. 23 Iowa vs. No. 14 Vanderbilt at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on ESPN. Next, the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl pits Arizona State against Duke at 2 p.m. ET on CBS from Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas.

At 3 p.m. ET, the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl features No. 13 Texas vs. No. 18 Michigan at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on ABC. The SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl follows at 3:30 p.m. ET with Nebraska vs. No. 15 Utah at Allegiant Stadium on ESPN.

These bowls highlight cross-conference rivalries and provide key players exposure ahead of the NFL Draft.

December 30 saw Louisiana Tech defeat Coastal Carolina 23-14 in the Independence Bowl, Illinois edge Tennessee 30-28 in the Music City Bowl, and TCU outlast USC 30-27 in overtime at the Alamo Bowl.
